Manchester United have still got plenty of work to do in the transfer window as Erik ten Hag pushes for the club to a new midfielder following the departure of Paul Pogba. Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong is Ten Hag’s prefered candidate but Christian Eriksen is also a bargain option.

Liverpool have acted quickly to sign Darwin Nunez with Sadio Mane set to join Bayern Munich. However, Jurgen Klopp has been dealt another headache as he is reportedly set to lose Mohamed Salah in 12 months.

Chelsea are holding talks with Inter Milan today where they will try to reach an agreement for Romelu Lukaku to return to the San Siro. That could then pave the way for Raheem Sterling to move from Manchester City.

While Arsenal are looking to make more signings with Fabio Vieira’s signing poised to be confirmed and Gabriel Jesus in the frame to follow him soon after.

Eriksen ‘accepts’ Man Utd terms

Christian Eriksen finds Manchester United’s contract offer ‘acceptable’, according to the Sunday Mirror.

The midfielder is out of contract after his six-month deal with Brentford expired.

The 30-year-old impressed on his return to the Premier League and is wanted by a host of top clubs, including former side Tottenham.

Antonio Conte is yet to make his move and Eriksen will bide his time before deciding on his next destination, but United are clearly in the running.

Salah to quit Liverpool

Liverpool chiefs have accepted that next season will be Mohamed Salah’s final year at Anfield, according to reports.

The Egyptian is in the final 12 months of his contract and is apparently demanding £400,000 a week to put pen to paper.

Liverpool are not confident of striking an agreement with the 30-year-old and he is expected to follow Sadio Mane out of the exit door, reports the Sunday Mirror.

Chelsea ready Sterling bid

Chelsea are reportedly ready to press the green light on a move for Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling, but only once Romelu Lukaku completes his loan switch to Inter Milan.

Talks are set to take place today between Chelsea and Inter to structure the return of Lukaku the San Siro, according to the Sunday Mirror.

Tuchel has given his blessing for new owner Todd Boehly to let the club’s record £97.5million-man leave.

And the German is a big fan of City winger Sterling to add extra firepower to his attack.
