Marco Verratti is set to sign for Saudi Pro League side Al-Arabi after a verbal agreement has been reached with the player, according to reports.

The midfielder, who won Euro 2020 with Italy, has traded Paris for the Middle East as he closes on the move to Saudi Arabia.

It was previously reported that he had decided to make a U-turn on a move to the Saudi Pro League, but this appears to be untrue now.

According to Fabrizio Romano, a verbal agreement has been sealed with the midfielder as he will join the Qatari club on a permanent contract.

It is understood that he will travel to Doha in the next 24 hours to complete his medical and seal the move.

The Italian journalist contines to reveal that PSG have agreed on a £38million fee to see Verratti leave.

Both clubs had agreed this fee ’10 days ago’, with Verratti now set to leave after agreeing personal terms.

Verratti was reportedly told earlier in the summer by boss Luis Enrique that he was surplus to requirements and he should look for a new club after the arrival of Manuel Ugarte from Sporting.

The Italian has not appeared in any of Enrique’s matchday squads this season, with it clear that he had no future in Paris.

PSG’s midfielder wil lleave the club after 276 Ligue 1 matche and won nine Ligue 1 titles, nine French Super Cups and making a Champions League Final appearance.

All that is left is for Verratti’s deal to be announced as he trades France for Saudi Arabia.
