Manchester United have been put on red alert with Tottenham reportedly open to selling Harry Kane should they receive a £200million bid for their captain. The England international is also said to be open to a move to Old Trafford having grown frustrated at Spurs’ failure to challenge for the Premier League title. And, earlier in the season, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer opened up on the striker.
After United drew 1-1 with Liverpool earlier in the season, Sky Sports pundit Roy Keane urged Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to sign Kane.
“Go and get Kane. Just go and get Kane from Spurs, easy,” he said when asked what United needed to challenge for the Premier League title again.
When the studio stared at him in shock, the former Red Devils captain added: “Yeah, what are you all staring at?
“He scores 20 goals a season with his eyes shut. They’re in disarray, go and get him.”
The prospect of Kane leaving Tottenham now doesn’t appear as unlikely as before – with the England international supposedly angering Daniel Levy behind the scenes.

- What Man Utd duo Solskjaer and Phelan have agreed ahead of summer
Earlier in the season, Solskjaer was offered the chance to respond to comments made about the 26-year-old.
And the Norwegian lauded the Tottenham hitman, saying: “Roy’s quite straightforward, isn’t he?”
“There aren’t many [Robert] Lewandowskis and Harry Kanes – they’re like [Alan] Shearer, [Ruud] Van Nistelrooy, fantastic players.
“Ours are different types of players but I like someone who can finish half a chance and Harry does that, but Harry is a Tottenham player.”
While United could make a move to sign Kane, it may mean them having to give up interest in other expensive targets.

Jack Grealish is another being eyed, with the Aston Villa star a shining light for Dean Smith’s side amid a difficult Premier League campaign.
And Birmingham City’s Jude Bellingham is also a United target having impressed in the Championship, despite being aged just 16.
Meanwhile, speaking last week, Solskjaer admitted that United would look to exploit clubs in the transfer market this summer.
“Football is going to get back to normality at one point, and it’s very important we’re ready when that happens,” Solskjaer told Sky Sports.
“Then, the market, who knows how the market is going to react to this? Who knows which clubs need to sell players?
“There might be just a situation there where you can exploit.
“And I know that we at Man United we are one of the biggest, and the biggest, financially well-off.”
United haven’t signed a player from Tottenham since Dimitar Berbatov back in 2012.
And, since then, Spurs have flatly refused to sell the likes of Toby Alderweireld, Eric Dier, Gareth Bale and Luka Modric to their Premier League rivals.
