It has been 30 years since Liverpool were last crowned league champions.

That could all change tonight, though, as Manchester City take on Chelsea.
Anything other than a win for City will hand Jurgen Klopp’s side the title.
“I watch the game not to prepare a celebration but we play City a week later and also Chelsea,” said Klopp.
“This game is a really important game to watch for plenty of reasons. Whatever happens… we have no influence on it so I have no interest.
“It will happen when it happens.”
Liverpool have also received a title boost after City boss Pep Guardiola admitted his priority was on Sunday’s FA Cup quarter-final against Newcastle rather than postponing the Reds’ coronation as Premier League champions.

“We can’t deny that we have one eye on Newcastle,” said Guardiola.

“It depends on physical condition, the minutes they have played. We take a look a little bit at what is going to happen, not just Chelsea.”
How many times have Liverpool won the league?
The Reds have been crowned league champions 18 times in total.
Their tally is bettered only Manchester United, who have won 20 league titles.
