Australian stakes performers Jet Propulsion and Birdsville join Hong Kong ranks

Two lightly-raced Stakes performed prospects joined the Hong Kong ranks in the latest shipment of Australian gallopers.

Formerly trained by Ciaron Maher and David Eustace, Jet Propulsion has joined the team of 11-time champion Hong Kong trainer John Size.

The son of Rubick, which is a half-brother to multiple Group 1 winner Pierata, left Australian shores the winner of one of his six race starts.

Jet Propulsion’s best Australian racetrack performances came when third in the Group 2 Stan Sox Stakes and Listed Dulcify Stakes during his spring three-year-old season.

In the autumn earlier this year, Jet Propulsion was fourth in the Group 2 Autumn Stakes before his last Australian outing when beaten 3¼ lengths into seventh in the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas.

Joining Jet Propulsion on the Hong Kong flight was Peter Moody’s former galloper Birdsville, stakes placed at two in the Listed Talindert Stakes behind Golden Slipper and Blue Diamond Stakes-placed Ingratiating and lightly-raced prospect Gimme Par.

Birdsville, a gelding by Sooboog, has joined the team of David Hayes.

Another interesting addition to the Hong Kong ranks in former North Queensland galloper Isis Brumby.

Trained by Kevin Miller at Rockhampton, Isis Brumby won four of his seven starts, placing on the three other occasions.

Isis Brumby is by Spill The Beans and will be trained in Hong Kong by Dennis Yip.
