Queen of the turf Enable is the new favourite for the Prix De L'Arc De Triomphe after a deluge of rain hit the track.
The dual winner is a top price of 7/4 with Skybet for Sunday's feature, as original ante-post market leader Love drifted in the betting due to ground concerns.
Paris Longchamp was officially described as very soft on Monday morning following 19mm of rain over 24 hours.
Enable and her stablemate Stradivarius, also well-backed this week, are the two British challengers after a setback ruled out Grand Prix de Deauville winner Telecaster.
He was one of seven horses taken out at Tuesday’s forfeit stage, along with Logician and Joseph O’Brien's Buckhurst, Crossfirehurricane, Thames River, Degraves and New York Girl.
Aidan O’Brien is expected to supplement Epsom Derby winner Serpentine on Wednesday, as Enable looks set to face 15 rivals.
Coral's David Stevens said: "For much of the summer it looked as if Love was certain to start favourite for this year's Arc, relegating Enable to second favourite for her hat-trick bid.
"But now it would be a major surprise if the latter lost her position at the head of the betting, while plenty of punters reckon her stablemate Stradivarius could provide her sternest opposition on Sunday."
Gosden, who will be watching the 1m 4f contest from home, reports both horses to be in fine form.
Enable was put through her paces by Frankie Dettori on Saturday.
"It’s still a few days to go and she’s ready to put in a big, bold effort," he told the Paddy Power podcast From The Horse’s Mouth.
"We’re perfectly aware how tough the race is and we’re perfectly aware how tough the opposition is."
