Horse racing tips July 10: The best bets at Market Rasen, Bath, Musselburgh and Newmarket

Dettori and Sheikh Mohammed went their separate ways until successfully joining forces when TEREBELLUM (4.10, nap) became their first winner in eight years at Newmarket last month. The filly has since run a blinder in defeat when failing by a head to hold off Circus Maximus in the Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Despite the absence of colts in today’s Falmouth Stakes, that is restricted to fillies, she has some formidable opposition.

Her stable companion Nazeef from the John Gosden yard will make her fight all the way to the winning post.

Successful in her last five races, she has beaten two of today’s leading rivals Agincourt, at Royal Ascot, and Billesdon Brook, Kempton.

Magic Wand, from the Aidan O’Brien yard, also cannot be overlooked. She makes a quick return after finishing fourth behind Ghaiyyath in Sunday’s Coral-Eclipse.

Charlie Appleby, the trainer of Ghaiyyath, can take the opener with SPECTRUM OF LIGHT (12.10, treble).

He is progressing with experience along with the decision to run him over a longer trip.

DANDALLA (2.25, nb) an impressive winner at Royal Ascot last month, can enhance her claims for next year’s 1,000 Guineas by taking the Duchess Of Cambridgeshire Stakes.

Nothing could lay a glove on her at Ascot. The form of that contest was enhanced by Mother Earth, the third home, winning her next race in a canter.

The drop-in distance will favour THEMAXWECAN (3.00) in the Bet365 Trophy.

First-time blinkers, hopefully, will help reward the consistent KIPPS (3.35) in the Bet365 Handicap.

At Market Rasen LOUGH DERG SPIRIT (2.40) can make a winning debut for Paul Nicholls since he was sold out of Nicky Henderson’s yard.

The gelding has always threatened to take a decent prize, and this looks a golden opportunity.

RED FORCE ONE (2.05), his stablemate, can earlier take the Betway Summer Hurdle.

He comes here fighting fit after a recent run on the Flat and has dropped to a decent handicap mark.
