Tuesday’s predicted warm weather holds no fears for Irishman TJ Comerford as he prepares to saddle leading Melbourne Cup contenders Anthony Van Dyck and Tiger Moth.
With temperature forecast to hit 29C, the track will be in the Good range – and quickening – with northerly winds predicted to sweep over Flemington.

“Both horses won’t mind a good track,” Comerford said.
“They will be all right on that.
“I’m just hoping they have a bit of luck in running.”
Anthony Van Dyck won the English Derby on a good track at Epsom, while Tiger Moth’s best results, including his two career wins, both came on good surfaces.
The Irish pair are first and second favourites for the $8 million race with Anthony Van Dyck ($8) shading his younger stablemate at $8.50.
