Raceday focus: Best bets, analysis for Cranbourne on Friday

Herald Sun form analyst Brad Waters runs the rule over Friday night’s card at Cranbourne.

NO CHANGE (Race 9 No. 2 – $5.50)

No Change is racing in terrific fashion on all types of tracks with a three-start winning streak going into Friday night’s meeting. He’s drawn perfectly and rates a great chance of making it four straight wins.

LONHGOAL (Race 2 No. 11 – $5)

Lonhgoal chased home an easy winner at Echuca first-up and she’ll only be improved for that outings. She was beaten less than a length at her last attempt at 1400m and should go well at Cranbourne.

JUST JAKE (Race 5 No. 4 – $7.50)

Just Jake is a talented galloper than is always around the mark in Benchmark 64 contests and Friday night should be no exception. He won easily when resuming last time in and was a close second in a Tatura trial 17/5.

NORDIC PRIDE (Race 8 No. 5 – $4.60)

Nordic Pride will be on trial at the 2600m at Cranbourne but he’s racing as though it won’t be a problem. He swept home over the top of his rivals last time and should be hard to beat again.

Jockey Jamie Mott has a terrific book of seven rides at Friday night’s Cranbourne meeting. Picture: AAPSource:AAP

OLD TIME ROCK (Race 6 No. 5 – $23)

Old Time Rock is a developing galloper that raced best in the early stages of his last campaign and could do so again on Friday night. His last jumpout leading up this was good and he’s over the odds.

Jamie Mott relishes the available pickings at Cranbourne Friday night meetings and can end the night racing season with a feast with seven rides at Cranbourne. PAGADOR (Race 1 No. 9 – $10), VISUALISING (Race 2 No. 8 – $1.70), KISS ME IF YOU CAN (Race 3 No. 4 – $4.40), SHARE THE RHYTHM (Race 4 No. 9 – $6.50), OXLEY JACK (Race 7 No. 1 – $5), HEZAFOX (Race 8 No. 1 – $3.80), ZENDE (Race 9 No. 9 – $7).

Caulfield will be the scene of next Saturday’s Melbourne meeting while Echuca will hold the provincial card. Mildura and Ballarat will race on Sunday before a Pakenham Synthetic meeting on Monday. Racing heads out west to Hamilton on Tuesday before returning to the city for Wednesday’s Sandown fixture.
