Serena Williams has made a bold start to her Australian Open campaign after revealing a stunning new catsuit outfit.
The 39-year-old champion stripped off to reveal her new look in a dramatically understated fashion before she burst out to an early lead against Laura Siegemund on Rod Laver Arena.
Williams has a proud history of showing off bold fashion statements at the Aussie Open, but her black, red and pink, one-legged 2021 catsuit may be her most striking one yet.
The figure-hugging outfit includes bright sleeves and a new feature of a compression fabric running down her right leg.

She revealed the flattering Nike ensemble after walking out onto the court with a black jacket.
When she took off her layers before the official warm-up, it caused a stir on Twitter.

Judy Murray, the mum of Andy Murray, wrote: “Serena rocking the one-legged catsuit #girlpower”.
Tennis fan Josh Feldman posted: “Serena’s outfit = QUEEN BEHAVIOR”.
American writer Danny Santaromita wrote: “I know the Super Bowl is on, but everyone needs to see what Serena is wearing”.

Williams has courted controversy with her revealing outfits, but has not been deterred by some negative comments.
Her black catsuit at the 2019 French Open stunned the world.
She did the same thing at last year’s Australian Open where she stripped down before her first round match to reveal a jade green, figure-hugging jumpsuit, matched with fishnet stockings.
While all the attention was on her fabrics, Williams raced through the first set 6-1 in just 27 minutes.
