But it’s okay, today we have got the entry. This is Aguada Fort. It feels like I am their personal cameraman. We have entered the Aguada Fort from the back side. Because after 4pm, the sunny weather starts reducing and then it is amazing to explore this fort. And because they start ousting people at 6:00PM so it would be better if you get at least 1.5-2 hours to explore this place. Right now, we reached at the entry. This is the most photogenic area around here where we could click photos. It’s like good photos are captured there. The sunlight falls so perfectly that the photos clicked there are too good. So, this fort has 2 parts. One is upper fort and the other in lower fort. When the Portuguese ships used to arrive then they were allowed to be docked at the lower fort. And this is upper fort, where we are standing right now. And what used to happen at this place? Water was stored at this place. You might be able to see small wells behind me. These are wells where water used to be stored that supplied water to the ships. Aguada Fort was built in 1612 so, the almost 400 years old. The best thing about this fort is that it has water bodies on all of the 3 sides that a ship even far away from this place could see this fort. What’s in the upper fort? In upper fort, there is a lighthouse, water tankers are here where was stored and there is secret passage as well which was used to escape during emergency time. But right now, it is closed.
