Hanoi , is one of the oldest capitals in the world so you   definitely shouldn't miss it if you're planning . a trip to Vietnam. In this video we'll take you   to three of the most popular neighborhoods to . stay in if you're wondering about which area   to stay in when you visit Hanoi then this . guide should help you make your decision. foreign airport you have a few choices the first , option which is the most convenient and the   most expensive is to grab a taxi the prices . are displayed on the board when you come   out from the gate simply choose your taxi and . off you go or you can book directly if you've   got the grab app downloaded on your phone that . works perfectly here and it's very convenient   if you want a cheaper option there's a couple , more choices for you you can use the airline   shuttle bus and the departure times are aligned . with flight schedules so you can be sure to find   a shuttle bus at the airport if you fly with via , jet Vietnam Airlines and Jetstar a ticket costs 40   000 Vietnamese dong and this will take you to the  old quarter but there are several drop-off points   along the way and the next option is the local . express bus these buses have the most convenient   bus stops near to the old quarter and they're . also the fastest buses with a travel time of   about 45 minutes you can buy your ticket . on board and the tickets on the bus are 45   000 Vietnamese Dong we took the  number 86 bus which was heading   from the airport to the old quarter and . it was really easy and really convenient if you're visiting Hanoi for the first time it . might be a good idea for you to base yourself   in the old quarter this is also known as Juan Kim ,

and it's the historical heart and soul of the city the reasons for staying in the old quarter are , vast because lots of interesting attractions are   located there one of the most beautiful lakes in . Hanoi is one kiem you can also visit the Temple of   the Jade Mountain which is right in the center  of the lake the famous van cam Lake provides a   scenic view and a walk around the lake on a . sunny breezy day is just beautiful    keeping with the theme of water there are two , water puppet shows on either side of the lake   you can spend 40 minutes watching a centuries , old cultural traditional performance that began   here right in the center north of Huang kiem lake is Hanoi old , quarter that houses Charming Colonial   architecture art galleries Boutique shops  Street Markets and Buddhist temples the   old quarter is really well known for being  the Backpackers hot spot in Hanoi and it's   filled with hostels and various accommodation , options the streets here are packed with tiny   shops and vendors selling everything from , fresh fruit to authentic Vietnamese food this area can become really , crowded and sometimes quite noisy as I mentioned before with accommodation there's a , wide range of options available ranging from cheap   Backpacker dorms to up Market hotels making this . area really appealing for a stay for almost anyone the next area is West Lake or otherwise known , as teho this is a place where a lot of expats   in Hanoi hang out you can enjoy a wide range of . upscale accommodation and fine dining restaurants   here and you guessed right many luxurious , hotels are located in the West Lake area   but this doesn't mean there aren't some amazing  places available for Budget Travelers as well this district is called teho because , it's located right near to teho Lake   this is also an amazing area to stay ,

if you're interested in trying the   best Gastronomy in Hanoi and you'll , find tons of amazing food places here it's mostly an expat neighborhood  with modern shops and a good choice   of dining and nightlife spots this makes it , a really convenient area to stay for tourists   also it's worth staying here for a glimpse , into the more traditional side of Hanoi   teho is the best area to stay in Hanoi if you'd , like a western feel while you're in the city but   still being conveniently located . to explore the rest of Hanoi teho offers some decent cafes and fun night . spots if you've been on the road for a while   and you're after some Western living then tejo , might just be the best place for you to stay and lastly the next area is Badin and truck back . this is the ideal place for visitors looking to   get away from the overcrowded and sometimes . noisy Huang kiem area in the old quarter   this is a neighborhood where you  can finally catch your breath   Chuck back a smaller region of Badin is in many  regards a suburb itself it's a popular place   for expats to live but a few tourists also stay , there hired of the hustle and bustle of   the city then this is a good place for you there  aren't many famous landmarks though in this area   except for tranquac pagoda but the neighborhood , is filled with restaurants catering to the large   expat community and it's a great spot to relax , near the Lakeside a quiet area is I think that's   the correct pronunciation but I'm not entirely , certain this again is a lovely place to just stop   and catch your breath if you value quieter streets , over being in close proximity to restaurants then   this area might be a good choice for you thanks . for watching and we'll see you soon,
