Manchester United have made \u2018initial\u2019 contact with Tottenham over the signing of midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. <\/p>\n

The Dane, 28, has two years to run on his deal at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium but he\u2019s surplus to requirements under Ange Postecoglou.<\/p>\n

The Dutchman worked with Hojbjerg during his time as Bayern Munich\u2019s reserve manager. <\/p>\n

Tottenham accepted a reported \u00a330m bid from Atletico Madrid for Hojbjerg earlier this summer but a deal failed to materialise. <\/p>\n
With Mason Mount set to miss a month of action, United are keen on signing another midfielder and reports on Monday claimed the Red Devils had been made aware of Hojbjerg\u2019s availability.<\/p>\n
Sky Sports now say United have made initial contract with Tottenham over a move for the Dane and will hold further talks over his signing.<\/p>\n
Striking a deal with Daniel Levy in the final days of the window won\u2019t be an easy task for United.<\/p>\n
