Manchester United have reportedly accepted loan offer from Lorient for Donny van de Beek.<\/p>\n
The Dutch international is expected to decide his future ahead of Friday’s transfer deadline.<\/p>\n
Lorient have reached an agreement with Man United over a season-long loan for Van de Beek, according to Foot Mercato.<\/p>\n
The French club are now seeking to convince the midfielder to join, but face competition from several clubs for his signature.<\/p>\n
Van de Beek has been linked with a return to his former club Ajax, where he starred before\u00a0joining United for \u00a335million three years ago.<\/p>\n

During his time at Ajax van de Beek made 175 appearances and scored 41 goals.<\/p>\n
He won the Eredivisie and Dutch Cup in the 2018-19 campaign and was also part of the side that reached the final of the Europa League in 2017, when Ajax lost to United.<\/p>\n
Lorient’s pursuit may be boosted by their promising start to the Ligue 1 season.<\/p>\n
Regis Le Bris’s side are unbeaten after the opening three matches of the campaign, recording one win and two draws.<\/p>\n
Man United had been hoping to sell Van de Beek, with the midfielder having been in talks with La Liga outfit Real Sociedad earlier in the transfer window.<\/p>\n
Van de Beek has played 60 times for United in total but has made just six starts in the Premier League.<\/p>\n
He also played seven times on loan at Everton during the 2021-22 season.<\/p>\n
Van de Beek has not featured in Man United’s matchday squad for their opening three matches of the Premier League season.\u00a0<\/p>\n
