She spent several weeks in a coma before passing away last week.<\/p>\n<p>Mendoza represented the Canary Islands\u00a0Under-17 women&#8217;s national team and played her club football for\u00a0Guiniguada, who have now paid tribute to their former goalkeeper.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;We will always keep your smile. Your improvement. Your desire to live,&#8217; the club said on Instagram with a video of Mendoza.<\/p>\n<p>They added: &#8216;You will shine very bright. You will always be eternal Nao.
