Manchester United owners the Glazers are not solely to blame for the team’s performances on the pitch, claims Ally McCoist. The Rangers legend believes players must start to take more responsibility for their performances, naming Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez as two examples.

United suffered their third Premier League defeat of the season on Saturday. They were humbled 3-1 by Brighton at Old Trafford, with a Hannibal Mejbri goal saving some of the Red Devils’ dignity.

Erik ten Hag’s side sit 13th in the table, with just six points to their name after five matches. Many believe they were lucky in the two wins they have managed against Wolves and Nottingham Forest.

Bayern have extra firepower up front this season after signing Harry Kane in the summer, a player United were linked with.

Ten Hag has outlined how his team can cause the Bundesliga champions problems.
