Mikel Arteta has provided an update on Gabriel Martinelli and Thomas Partey’s physical conditions heading into this weekend’s North London derby. The Arsenal boss hasn’t ruled out Martinelli making a cameo apperance as he continues his road to recovery while the same couldn’t be said for Partey, who remains sidelined by injury.<\/p>\n
“With Gabi [Martinelli] we\u2019re still assessing him so let\u2019s see if he can make the game or not. Thomas [Partey] is definitely out and the rest hopefully available,” said Arteta of Martinelli and Partey’s availability heading into Sunday’s Premier League clash with Tottenham.<\/p>\n
Partey, on the other hand, is expected to be out for a little while longer after sustaining a groin injury while training with the Ghanaian international team three weeks ago.\u00a0According to\u00a0the Daily Mail, Arsenal are hoping Partey will be available after the October international break.<\/p>\n
“He\u2019s still a few weeks away. He\u2019s got a muscle injury. He\u2019s progressing well, but he\u2019s still a few weeks away,” said Arteta last week.<\/p>\n
