Jim Ratcliffe's potential Man Utd investment assessed | Football Digest

Jadon Sancho’s Manchester United career is over, with his relationship with manager Erik ten Hag beyond repair, according to reports. The banished Red Devils winger looks to have played his last game for the club – and a departure in the January transfer window is an ever-growing possibility at the request of Ten Hag.

Sancho hasn’t featured since a substitute appearance in United’s 3-2 win against Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford on August 26.

Ten Hag excluded him from the travelling squad at Arsenal at the start of September, citing unacceptable training levels as his reason, which sparked what appears to be the beginning of the end for Sancho at United.

The 23-year-old posted an explosive social media statement shortly after full-time, effectively calling his boss a liar and claiming he had been made a scapegoat for United’s early-season struggles.

Crunch talks followed during the September international break, to no avail. And United chiefs sanctioned Ten Hag’s request to banish Sancho from his first team until he received a formal apology.

But almost two months later, that apology hasn’t arrived, leaving the pair’s fractured relationship in a state of disrepair and pushing the United No 25 towards the exit door.

According to the Mirror, Sancho has left it too late to apologise to Ten Hag and his teammates, and he is now finished at Old Trafford.

Ten Hag is said to view the ordeal as a significant test of his authority as the leader of United’s latest and most advanced rebuild since Sir Alex Ferguson’s 2013 retirement.

The report adds that the Dutchman wants United to negotiate Sancho’s departure in January, be it permanently or initially on loan until the end of the season.

It’s claimed that United hope Saudi Arabian clubs will resurrect their interest after failing to offload Sancho to Al-Ettifaq in the summer due to their demand of a £45million obligation to buy.
