Jadon Sancho looks set to leave Manchester United in the January transfer window, calling quits on his Old Trafford career after less than three years. But the 23-year-old winger’s attractive options appear to be thin, with Juventus the latest reported suitors whose interest is under threat of failing to materialise.

Sancho seems to be down and out at United. Even if he apologises to Erik ten Hag for effectively calling him a liar on social media in September, that ship may have already sailed.

Ten Hag is said to have doubts over whether a Sancho apology almost two months after the incident would be truly sincere, leaving their relationship in a state of disrepair.

It has pointed attention to January when United are expected to attempt to offload their No 25 and end the long-winding saga once and for all.

But three European heavyweights reportedly interested in loaning Sancho for the rest of the season are considered doubtful destinations.

According to Sky Germany, Sancho intends to escape Old Trafford in January, with a return to an overseas club his preference.

But an attractive switch to Barcelona or a second spell at Borussia Dortmund are currently said to be unrealistic propositions.
