City identified them by reviewing CCTV footage from the afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Manchester City can confirm that two minors have been identified in connection with the vile chanting heard at the Etihad Stadium,&#8217; a club statement read.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/26\/13\/76882495-12675629-Manchester_City_fans_have_apologised_to_the_family_of_Sir_Bobby_-a-17_1698322540664.jpg\" height=\"576\" width=\"306\"><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/26\/13\/76882499-12675629-The_clip_showed_fans_chanting_Bobby_s_in_a_box_-a-16_1698322540628.jpg\" height=\"576\" width=\"306\"><\/p>\n<p>Manchester City fans have identified and banned two young supporters who sang offensive songs about Sir Bobby Charlton&#8217;s passing during their 2-1 win over Brighton on Saturday<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/26\/13\/77030795-12675629-image-m-38_1698323126790.jpg\" height=\"440\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The Manchester United and England icon sadly passed away on Saturday, aged 86\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/26\/13\/76863095-12675629-Manchester_City_have_appealed_for_information_about_the_chants_a-a-19_1698322613903.jpg\" height=\"436\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Man City have said the young fans are now subject of a Greater Manchester Police probe<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;The individuals in question have subsequently been suspended from attending all home or away fixtures and their details have been shared with Greater Manchester Police who are investigating the matter.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Following the conclusion of Greater Manchester Police&#8217;s ongoing investigation, the individuals will be subject to the club&#8217;s official sanctions and bans process.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>The bans should act as a deterrent for those travelling to Sunday&#8217;s derby at Old Trafford.
