James Doyle has become the retained jockey for emerging power Wathnan Racing.<\/p>\n
It means the 35-year-old will end an eight-season stint as second jockey to William Buick at Sheik Mohammed\u2019s Godolphin operation.<\/p>\n
Wathnan Racing is owned by the Emir of Qatar, Sheik Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani. They burst on to the scene at Royal Ascot with wins in the Gold Cup (Courage Mon Ami) and Queen\u2019s Vase (Gregory).<\/p>\n
Doyle sported the Wathnan colours when he won on Ballymount Boy at Doncaster on Saturday.\u00a0Other horses in their string include French 2,000 Guineas runner-up Isaac Shelby, Mill Reef Stakes second Mister Sketch and the well-regarded, Richard Hannon-trained two-year-old Serene Seraph.\u00a0<\/p>\n
