Tottenham Hotspur head into the November international break having suffered back to back defeats after Ange Postcoglou's side fell 2-1 in injury-time to Gary O'Neil's Wolves.

Despite having gone 1-0 up early on in the Saturday lunchtime kick-off at Molineux when summer signing Brennan Johnson turned home right-back Pedro Porro's cross, Spurs capitulated in injury-time, conceding goals from Wolves pair Pablo Sarabia and Mario Lemina to fall to a 2-1 defeat.

Up until their wild 4-1 Monday night loss to Chelsea, Spurs had not tasted defeat in the Premier League. And football fans on social media reckon that 'Spurs went full Spurs' in their loss to Wolves, reverting to type following their strong start to the season.

While the defeat to Wolves is not the end of the world for Postecoglou and co, a win at Molineux would have been the perfect antidote for Spurs after their drama filled derby loss to Chelsea. Spurs had Cristian Romero and Destiny Udogie sent off against the Blues, whilst also losing James Maddison and Micky van de Ven to injury too.

They currently head into the international break sitting second in the table, but could be sat in fourth should Arsenal and Liverpool both pick up wins over Burnley and Brentford respectively this weekend.

And speaking after the game at Molineux, Postecoglou admitted his team ran out of steam in the second half. "The first half in particular I felt we could have been a bit more aggressive with the ball, but I have to temper that with having to make so many changes," said Postecoglou in his post match press conference.

"Second half I didn't think it was too bad but there was just times in the game when a lot of the guys in the back of their minds hadn't played much and it was about self-preservation and get to the end of the game.

"The first goal was a really good goal and we perhaps ran out of steam for the second."
