    Liverpool Women star Gemma Bonner was left with blood pouring down her face following a sickening clash of heads against Manchester United Women.<\/p>\n

    Ahead of Liverpool and United's men's clash at Anfield, the two women's sides went toe-to-toe. And as Liverpool looked to see out a victory, there was a sickening clash of heads involving Bonner.<\/p>\n

    Bonner received medical attention on the pitch, before she was helped off by club doctors. The defender had blood across her face and shirt, with Reds manager Matt Beard confirming she could not remember the incident – but she's now OK.<\/p>\n

    Millie Turner turned the ball into her own net, allowing Liverpool back into the game. And the Reds found the winner when Liverpool defender Taylor Hinds bundled the ball home.<\/p>\n
